Product Overview
HX-80 Brushable Mold Making Latex is a low-viscosity natural latex designed for concrete casting applications. It is ideal for flat molds used in ornamental concrete, stone veneer, and other decorative applications.
After 10 to 20 coats are applied, depending on the model, the latex cures to a highly elastic mold that captures fine detail.
Application Summary
- Apply in thin brush coats.
- Build 10-20 layers depending on the model.
- Allow each coat to become tacky before recoating.

Mixing & Curing Notes
If the rubber sticks to the model or turns dark during a small-scale test, seal the model first with a spray shellac and let it dry before applying rubber.
NOTE: Latex can be used for limited casting of some resins. The higher the exotherm of the casting material, the quicker the mold will degrade and become unusable. A silicone rubber such as Mold Max™ would be a better choice for production casting of resins.
Do not use if you have latex allergies. Store and use at room temperature (73°F/23°C); do not allow to freeze. Always consult the current Technical and Safety Data Sheets before use.
