A specialty filler for natural latex. HX-CECO Powder is a blend of powders and surfactants that thickens the coats applied after the first few coats on a mold, letting you reach a desired thickness in far less time and with fewer coats, while increasing the strength of the rubber.

Product Overview

HX-CECO Powder is a specialty thickener for natural latex mold-making rubber. Mixed into later coats of latex, it helps build mold thickness more quickly while increasing strength and tear resistance.

It is especially useful for filling undercuts, building flange areas and creating a smooth outer surface that can be properly supported by a mother mold or support shell. HX-CECO mixes easily into latex and is typically used after the first four coats have been applied.

Application Summary

Apply the first four coats of latex without HX-CECO Powder.
Mix HX-CECO into latex until a smooth paste consistency is achieved.
Use the thickened latex to fill undercuts and build flange areas.

Mixing & Curing Notes

Building up the base and undercuts gradually creates a smooth, rounded outer surface against which a mother mold (support shell) can be built without gaps, so the shell supports the latex at every point and avoids future problems.
